Inside, the atmosphere is cosy and thoughtfully put together, with a vintage 70s Taiwanese-Japanese-inspired aesthetic and vinyl music playing in the background. Comfortable seating and warm surroundings make it an inviting place to settle in, whether you’re meeting friends or simply want a quiet pint after dinner.
The bigger draw, naturally, is the beer. AfterJourney has 16 craft beers on tap, with local and international selections spanning Singapore, China, New Zealand and beyond. Its rotating range means there’s usually something new to sample, from fruity IPAs and easy-drinking lagers to seasonal and limited-edition brews.
The staff are another highlight, with plenty of knowledge to help newcomers choose something based on their preferred flavours. Pair a pour with some bar bites and you’ve got a rather pleasant way to discover Textile Centre’s quieter side.
